Incheon (Chemulpo) Station

Incheon Station, initially known as Chemulpo Station, was built as part of Korea's first railway line, the Gyeongin Line. The construction of this line marked the beginning of Korea's modern railway history. The Gyeongin Line, connecting Seoul to Incheon, officially opened on September 18, 1899. This development was significant for Korea, representing a major step towards modernization and the integration of the country into the growing network of global trade and transportation.
